Get into Work Connectr: Supporting our future workforce through mentoring

Young people are now 125% more likely to become unemployed than any other age group. Over 4 in 10 people in the UK’s most deprived communities have a business start-up idea but lack the support they need. To successfully emerge from the pandemic, our future workforce needs support – and they need it now. 

Connectr has responded through a UK-wide mission to support unemployed people, including future entrepreneurs, succeed in their future careers.

Our Get into Work platform, enables users to access ‘matched’ employer mentors and upskilling content. Through this individual support, they can build their confidence, knowledge and skills to get into work and progress when in work.

How does it work?

Your organisation can support young jobseekers and future entrepreneurs from any community in the UK that you choose. 

By providing employee mentors, for example, through your company volunteering activity, unemployed individuals receive advice, upskilling and a human connection with mentors who can inform and support them to on their journey into work and when in work.
Connectr’s talent experts provide your employee mentors with the training they need. Plus, mentors can commit to the programme for as little as 1 hour per week.
